" I have seen it with my own eyes! Why don't you believe me?" Her brother told their parents everything but his father seemed hesitant to accept the truth.

As the eldest daughter, Genevieve had always been exceptional and well behaved. How could he believe that she was having a relationship with a secret man much less that she also have a daughter?

" What's wrong with it as long as she is happy? I always thought that she would never find love but I guess I was wrong." Her mother was much more amicable toward the situation.

" You...I don't even know what to say to you. How old is our daughter? She is only twenty three! Do you think she could care for a child? Why do you think that she is hiding the truth from us?" Father was furious hearing her wife talk nonsense.

" Why else? She is just ashamed about it probably because she knows that you will not approve of it." She turned to her son and asked," What was he like? The man she was with?" She was much more interested in her son in law!

" I....I didn't get to see his face but he was tall and was driving an expensive car."

" He was not old right? I don't have anything against her being with older man but there shouldn't be much age difference. It could affect their future."

" I don't think he was old. I don't know."

" That's enough! I haven't given anyone permission to date my daughter. If he really is involved with her, I want to meet him face to face and ask why he never tried to meet us and ask for our blessings."

" Honey, I don't think kids are that old fashioned, these days all they care about is love for one another."

" I don't care. I did not approve of him. What if he is forcing the child to stay with him and blackmailing my daughter to do his bidding? I have to meet him and that's final!"

Virginia didn't know much about models, but she was aware how hard ot was to climb that social ladder. Maurice on the other hand listened to both his wife and Lilly's explanation with a grim face. Anyone could tell he didn't see such a career in good light.

He was old fashioned but the slow and steady change due to introduction of smartphone and technology didn't go unnoticed. People used to talk and smile to one another now every young person that he saw in thenstreet had their head down, glued to the small screen.

Not to mention the horror stories that he heard in passing. Without proper support he knew their pursuit of their dream would end badly, he didn't want her daughter to be exploited.

Meanwhile Thierry, Genevieve's young brother was busy chatting with Alana. He was a little disappointed not finding Helga because he had a massive crush on her since he met her.

Her ethereal beauty, with skin like first snow made a striking contrast with her dark hair, their groups turned head wherever they went but even among them, Thierry was found Helga most attractive.
