Chapter 873 Misunderstanding-1

" Pere, I can explain! It's not what you think!" Genevieve hurriedly tried to explain herself seeing the cold stare of her father.

" Is that your kid?" He asked point blank looking at Elise who was hiding behind her due to sudden arrival of strangers.

" My kid? You mean Elise?" She was confused for a second which gave her mother a chnace to speak up.

" So what she is? Are you going to disown your own granddaughter? Just look at her, she is so cute and well behaved. " Virginia knew her husbands temper, she started showering Elise with compliments hoping to soften the blow.

Roberta, Alana and Katarina came to Lilly to understand what they were talking about because they were talking in french.

Lilly discreetly told them what was going on, at first they were dumbfounded how much their prank had gotten out of hand but soon they found Genevieve situation funny with no intentions of meddling in to resolve the issue. It was cruel but they couldn't help for a better situation when they conconted the plan.

" I am sick of this! Have you ever thought about the rumours? She is not even married yet and now she is bringing a strange kid like it's a joke. It's why I always told you not to spoil them but you never listen to me!" Maurice was not happy with the situation.

He was never the one to use loud noises against his wife but everyone had a breaking point. He only wanted what's best for his daughter so he never interfere much with her life choices even sending her abroad to study with heavy heart because he always thought it was better for her to stay closer to hom in case something happened.

" Why are you so angry in front kids? This is the reason why our daughter never tells us anything. You always try to justify things by getting mad at everything she does. Now that she finally about to open up about her secrets, you start yelling at her?"

" So, it's my fault? If only she stayed and tool care of family business none of this would happen. She could have already married woth kids but now we don't even know who the father is, whether he is a good person or is he just trying to take advantage-"

" Both of you stop!" Genevieve exclaimed loudly making their heads turn! She had all the answers she needed when she listened to them and at the same time saw the grinning expression on Alana and Roberta's faces. Lilly could only shrug to say that she had no part in this!

Her parents were shocked to see her raise her voice when they felt she was clearly in the wrong, just when they were about to put her in her place Elise got in between two parties spreading her hand.

" You two rascals, you almost gave us a heart attack!" Virginia grabbed their's ears as they kept laughing at the family drama.

Everyone had a good relationship with Virginia, especially Alana and Roberta because they could atleast understand one another. Still her mother liked Helga the best with how helpful and docile she was much to Genevieve's dismay.

Within few days, these four girls became the daughters she never had. Maurice also appreciated them because they were close to his daughter and were not bad kids.

" Aunty! It was all her idea, you know I will never do something like this!" Alana hugged her tightly pointing fingers at Roberta.

" You bitch, Are you throwing me under the bus? It was you who convinced Elise with sweet deals!" Roberta took the other side trying to pull Virginia closer to her.

" Good morning, Mr. Maurice." Katarina on the other hand went to talk to Genevieve's father because he understood a little russian.

" It seems you had nothing to do with it?"

" I tried to stop them but you know how stubborn they are. I am sorry it cause such inconvenience to the diner."

" It's fine. We can use some rest beside the kitchen wouldn't clean itself. With that brat in charge of cleaning, it will take him whole day."

" Yes."

" Helga got hurt? Why didn't you call us?"

" It's not that serious. She has few scratches but the doctor assured us that it wouldn't leave any scars."

Maurice nodded but he changed the subject and wanted to know more about the mystery man. He wanted to make sure he wasn't a threat to his daughter!
