Chapter 920 Aftermath-2

" So what are you guys doing tonight?" Samuel dragged the girls in the corner and asked.

" Huh? Do you have something planned?" Delphina asked.

" I can really have some time to wind down after everything. It's been a while since I had a drink." Alexis sighed. It been months of tension and constant meetings, she was finally free.

" Well, Sami did find a perfect place for everyone to relax. He has been pestering me throughout the whole journey. Of course, I accepted." Sharon grinned.

" Since the cat is out of the bag, I will tell you outright." Samuel chuckled and told them all about the fashion week. He also told them they had to hurry if they wanted to accompany him.

He pulled out his phone to see a flurry of messages and missed calls. Most of it were Mayra, Kayla, Nicole and Anastasiya.

Helga and others had not contacted him at all but Lucie did inform him she made all the preparation for their debut. She also expressed they were happy and excited so he was happy with whatever happens between them in the future.

" Oh? Kayla and Mayra. I heard about them. Are they one of your new conquest?" Delphina asked.

" Mayra is my college's best friend and Kayla and she was married. I will explain more about it later for now we have to hurry." He urged them.

Soon, Delphina ran to her father and explained she had to dash out. They were already ready but she did picked up her handy makeup set to do some last minute touches.

" Good work. Beside Kayla is there, she would let anything happen to them." He said but it was more like he was reminding himself of her profession as a law enforcement officer!

They talked for few more minutes before hanging up. Alexis looked at him thoughtfully grappling with her emotions whether if she should say anything or not.

" Is this a dangerous party?" She whispered. Samuel only chuckled and said," It's not. There are always few bugs trying to hover around those that I care about. Have you never been to such fashion events?"

" No, I am used to more corporate events. There are always people like you described trying to take advantage of me thinking I am just a young lady but they soon regrets their decision. I might be naive when it comes to relationships but I know what I want in a partner." She proclaimed.

He was happy to learn that the girl had some integrity. He never wanted to associate with rich wealthy ladies who thought the world revolved around them.

" That may be so but these parties are a little different. There are many naive models trying to make a name for themselves. People often underestimate how many beautiful young girls are out there. For slimy bastards who likes to use their power to get them in their bed, it's a open hunting ground to fish for more susceptible preys. I knew it because I sorr of grew around such a lifestyle.

It might be appealing but sooner or later these girls would realise fame was not worth loosing their morals." He sighed.

He knew a lot about suicides cases among these people. After getting exploited over and over again also digging more into illegal substances to forget about their pain, sooner or later they would burn out which would lead to them taking their own life.

The elusive fame would be the noose around their neck as it would be the reason why they could nevwr come forward. That's the wicked cycle he never wanted Helga and others to experience.

They might hate him now but he was determined to help them from the shadows and lead them to success. What they did after that was none of his concerns. People change and he knew all too well the change could go either way. It was their life and he didn't want to dictate how they lived it.
