Chapter 849 'Normal' Breakfast-2

The family of three sat down silently having their meal. For first ten minutes, no one talked occassionally glancing at each other's face.

Delphina who was dressed elegantly looked confident which greatly puzzled both father and son, normally she would try to stir things up because of her helpless situation whenever they met.

Both Bernard and Alan had experienced some version of it but right now, her face was peaceful while she slightly rose her chin signalling to them that she was content with the arrangement. She didn't even bother to ask her father why she called her here in the first place!

On the other hand, Alan began to get the sinking feeling in his stomach seeing her little sister like this. He always felt like he was bette than her, even when she exhibited better leadership qualities, he knew she was just a girl trying to get their father's attention. He was destined to be the heir no matter what happened!

" How is the preparation for the party is going?" Bernard decided to open his mouth first.

Delphina looked at him with a expressionless face before saying calmly," It's progressing as you instructed. I have already contacted all the shareholders of the group, they will be arriving after few days."

" Is their accomodation ready?"

" Yes, it is as you instructed." Delhpina gave short answers without any unnecessary words.

Bernard nodded before turning toward his son," What's the situation with fashion week? I heard there was a disturbance two days ago?"

Since his son was left to take care of core fashion business, he was responsible for presenting and preparing for several new products during the most important fashion week.

" Father! I vow to make it the most successful event in our company's history! It will be my first achievement before I become the true heir of the company." He smirked at her knowing that him mentioning the heir business would sure to infuriate her but to his surprise, Dephina just shrugged before digging back to her plate.

What's going on? Shouldn't she lash out and run out of the room angrily knowing that it was one point that she couldn't refute him about! Was she really his sister? How could a person change so much!

The same thought was running through Bernard's head, he suddenly became really intrigued about her new backer almost thinking that she was going to run away from home once defeated.

It was only normal for him to think so, this mysterious person was helping her so much if not to gain her love, why would he do such a thing?

" Ah, before I forget I found my plus one for the party. I hope you don't mind me bring a stranger to the company's party." Delphina said without blinking knowing what her father might be thinking.

" It's not that silly girl Sharon is it? I heard that you are quite 'close'." Alan said in a mocking tone. He knew they had a deeper connection as discovered by his people which they found out after spying on her extensively.

Delphina raised her eyebrows finaly showing some change in expression but immediately cooled her head.

" It's not Sharon is it?" Bernard also wanted to confirm. Delphina knew that his father too knew about their relationship, being a stubborn old man she could only guess what he thought about such arrangements but she wasn't going to budge now. Especially when he had full support of both Sharon and Samuel.

" It's not but even if she was, I don't think it's anyone else's business." She put downthe firk and knife before gracefully wiping her mouth.

Standing up he looked at both of them before saying," Since I will be busy, please refrain from calling me on such unfruitful meeting. I will see you both after few days."

Without even looking back, she was walked out of the door leaving through an already waiting car. Alan and Bernard could only see her depart, she did change-a little too much for them to believe!
