Chapter 1076 Leaving the city-5

He shook his head helplessly picking her up rubbing her back as she howled and cried. Even Ash the dog was confused and thought that it was some fun event as it bark and howled like wolf to follow it's little master.

" Okay, okay, stop crying. I am not leaving right now. I will leave tomorrow but we have plenty of time before that." He knew he couldn't back down now or else he had to stay for few more days and Elise would use the crying tactic everytime he want to leave in the future.

" Elise! Be obedient or else I will smack your butt!" Kayla said angrily. It did make her shrink as she blinked a few times before her tears started falling again.

" Sami~ Aunt is going to beat me! You can't leave!" She now had a excuse which only made the girls more helpless.

" You two, just leave it to me. There is no need to get violent."

" But in this way, she would never learn. I thought she already learned her lesson to not throw temper tantrums but she is still acting like this. What would happen if you really leave and she start doing this again." Kayla was firm on her stance.

Her parents and grandparents were the same with her, if she did anything wrong they would warn her and even punish her which made her realize her wrongdoings. Spoiling Elise too much could make her crook and disrespectful in the future.

" Alright, alright. I know what you are worried about but I will handle it." He asked again. He didn't have heart to hurt the little girl but also knew what Kayla said was true.

Mayra just watched from the sidelines and when she saw Kayla leave, she followed her out of the kitchen.

" Elise, stop crying. Didn't you say you are a good girl? Good girl don't cry after little difficulty. I am going back but I am not leaving forever. I will be back soon beside, in few week you will have to start going to school. You will have many friends and at home Ash could play with you until I am back. There is no need for you to cry about it. If I don't do my job, how could I buy new toys for you in the future? Didn't you want to go to Disneyland? How can I afford it?" He said. His pleading worked and the little girl listened to his arguments.

It seemed that the dog also got the message and knew it's little master was feeling down so he took up this tactic to cheer her up.

He smiled and turned to cleaning again. He was just halfway done and after few minutes, he fully cleaned everything. He did a little extra because he didn't want Mayra to do it after he leaves. He did make a lot of food tonight so it was understandable that a lot of plates were dirty.

By the time he was done, Elise had already caught up to Ash and was pulling and tugging at its fur and ear. Others might be frightened seeing such a thing after all the husky was twice as big as her but he let her do as she pleased if she was naughty and tried to poke around it's eyes, it would dodge and walk few steps away from her sitting down in its usual majestic posture.

By now, Elise started to slow down. He could see her eye lids were heavy and she was tired after running around the whole day. Usually, she would have few hours of after noon nap but today she didn't stop until dinner.

Both Eleanor and Mathilda had already went upstairs. Eleanor decided to stay with Mathilda tonight, her apartment was different from their so they decided to go to bed early after dinner.

He knew they must be tired because they didn't even say good night to either him or Elise. He picked up the sleepy little girl and went upstairs, since he said he was going to spend time with her it was obvious he would have to tell her some bedtime stories. She would always light up whenever it came to that.

Kayla and Mayra were reluctant so he asked them all to join. It's not like they wanted to do anything because Elise was there but it was different when they slept together.

Both girls like to hug him to sleep, it was much more comfortable for them and somehow they would always have a relaxing sleep. It was his natural ability to make them so calm and they could also feel his presence in his sleep which was a bonus for them.

After a quick bath, he read Elise a new bedtime story, something involving magic. Since she liked the Potter series, he would come up with different scenarios for different characters, it wasn't hard for him to construct new vivid world inside the wizarding world after all he remember all the details of the story.

He could also mesh the world together with Ring series making the characters she like appear giving it some twist which would always make her laugh and giggle. She liked when he talked about about these fictional people interacted with one another which would make him the focus of her awe and admiration.

He was only half way through the impromptu story when she feel asleep holding her favourite plushie. He gently covered her body woth the warm quilt before dragging the girls to go to bed. Elise bed wasn't small but they couldn't accomodate so many people so he lifted her up to take her back to Kayla and Mayra's room.

Everyone was tired today so pretty soon they fell into the dreamland making the whole room quiet down.
