Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 706: Prank

Chapter 706: Prank

That was until one day, while walking beside her casually, Silas suddenly asked something unexpected.

"Why don’t you try replicating mutated plants or beasts?"

The question immediately made Ivy hesitate.

The thought itself sounded absurd. Even so, curiosity eventually won.

The moment she attempted it, she discovered that she truly could replicate mutated beasts and plants.

However, the initial results disappointed her greatly. The replications merely stood there motionlessly like lifeless statues.

They possessed no real abilities. Naturally, Ivy became discouraged.

Still, she continued refining crystals tirelessly every single day.

And gradually... her Creation power began evolving again.

Now, the creatures she created started possessing actual powers tied to their forms.

If she created a rhinoceros the size of an elephant, it possessed monstrous strength.

If she created a phoenix, flames naturally erupted around its wings.

If she created venomous mutated vines, the vines genuinely carried poison.

Of course, this terrifying ability came with a massive weakness.

The replicated creatures could only exist for roughly two minutes before Ivy’s energy was completely drained.

Once the time limit ended, her entire body became weak and exhausted, sometimes to the point where she could barely stand properly.

Even so, Ivy remained incredibly excited.

Because she could clearly feel herself improving little by little. Initially, her limit was exactly two minutes.

Now, she had managed to extend it to two minutes and thirty seconds. To others, thirty seconds might not seem significant.

But to Ivy...

It was a massive breakthrough.

If someone asked whether she was proud of her superpowers, Ivy would answer without hesitation.

Absolutely.

Because she firmly believed that if she continued cultivating at this pace, one day she might genuinely stand equal to the superior beings themselves.

Meanwhile, Ivy was not the only person obsessively training.

Ron was doing the same.

Ever since discovering his ability to stop time temporarily, Ron had pushed himself relentlessly. Every single day, he isolated himself and trained until his body nearly collapsed from exhaustion.

At times, blood even trickled down from his nose due to the strain placed on his brain.

Yet he never stopped. Because he understood something very clearly.

A massive responsibility rested upon his shoulders.

The future of their entire planet might eventually depend on him.

As that thought crossed his mind, Ron’s eyes gleamed with determination.

Meanwhile, Ivy had unknowingly become much more playful recently.

Now that civilization was slowly stabilizing again, her mischievous side began surfacing more frequently.

One afternoon, while experimenting with her Creation ability, she suddenly replicated Silas perfectly.

The replica looked nearly identical.

Then she replicated herself as well, except she intentionally changed the replica’s pink hair into black hair.

Afterward, she positioned the replicas closely together and secretly snapped several suspicious-looking photographs.

The entire time, Ivy struggled to suppress her laughter.

That night, when Silas finally returned home, he immediately noticed Ivy sitting on the sofa with her arms crossed.

Her expression looked extremely furious. Or at least, she was trying very hard to appear furious.

Silas blinked in confusion the moment he saw her expression. "What happened?"

He frowned slightly. "Did I do something wrong?"

Without saying another word, Ivy suddenly slapped several photographs onto the table loudly.

Silas raised an eyebrow before calmly picking up the photos.

At first, his expression remained indifferent. Then he carefully examined each picture one by one.

After finishing, his face remained unbelievably calm. "Oh..."

He slowly lifted his gaze toward Ivy. "So you want to ask who this woman is?"

Ivy immediately gave him a fake angry nod before crossing her arms dramatically.

"So you are cheating on me, right?"

Her pink eyes narrowed suspiciously as she pointed at the photographs scattered across the table.

"Who is this woman? If you do not tell me the truth right now, I will divorce you immediately."

The moment those threatening words left her mouth, Silas did not panic in the slightest.

Instead, he calmly walked toward her with slow steps.

Without hesitation, he wrapped one arm around Ivy’s waist and pulled her closer against his chest.

"Well..."

His lips curved upward faintly.

"This woman actually has pink hair originally, but somehow she can turn it black."

Then he lightly tapped the photographs with his fingers before looking directly into Ivy’s eyes.

"And honestly, do you truly think I would fail to recognize your own superpower?"

His voice became softer and far more teasing. "These photos were obviously created by you."

Hearing his pampering tone, Ivy’s cheeks instantly turned slightly pink.

She immediately glared at him with embarrassment.

"Can you not let me enjoy my prank even once?"

Silas chuckled quietly, the sound low and warm against her ears.

"Fine, fine. Enjoy it all you want. I will not stop you."

Ivy rolled her eyes dramatically before finally giving up and hugging him tightly around the waist. Her expression slowly softened while she rested her head lightly against his chest.

Then, after remaining silent for several moments, she quietly murmured,

"Silas... I think we should try it in the next few days."

The instant those words reached his ears, Silas froze completely.

For a brief second, it genuinely felt as though all the blood inside his body rushed straight into his head.

His ears rang loudly. His heartbeat accelerated uncontrollably.

Finally. After all this time, they could finally cross that final barrier between them and truly become one in every possible sense.

The overwhelming joy inside him was impossible to hide.

Without hesitation, Silas immediately lowered his head and kissed Ivy passionately.

His arms tightened firmly around her waist as though he feared she might suddenly disappear.

"Truly, Ivy..."

His voice carried immense happiness.

"You are the greatest gift I could have ever received."

Hearing the pure joy in his voice, Ivy suddenly felt a wave of sadness quietly surface inside her heart.

If only... if only she had not gone through so many traumatic things in her previous life...

Then perhaps, in this life, they could have shared these moments much earlier.
