Chapter 452: Almost an Accident
Chapter 452: Almost an Accident
Seeing the man too scared to even utter a word.
Thea Shaw finished the last bite of her pork meatball, smiling as she looked at him. "Can you talk?"
Barry Swift felt like something was stuck in his throat. Being stared down by Landon Ford, he felt like he was lingering on the edge of death, not daring to respond to Thea’s question, and couldn’t even move his feet.
As a man, he felt he shouldn’t be such a coward.
But the other’s gaze was truly terrifying.
He’d never encountered someone like this before; just one look could instill such fear.
He was the one who bragged on WeChat about how Thea had rejected an old classmate of his, and afterwards, Thea had blocked him.
Ever since, he’d felt uneasy about it in his heart.
But after all, Thea was too distant from him, they couldn’t possibly have any contact, so he could only think of her in his mind, with no way to get in touch again.
He never expected to meet Thea here today.
Seeing Thea with an exceptionally handsome tall man, he couldn’t resist the imbalance in his heart.
He had recently made some money and had a beautiful girlfriend by his side; he originally wanted to flaunt his sense of superiority a bit, but ended up too scared to even fart under the man’s gaze.
"If you can’t speak." Landon Ford’s tone was like something dragged out of ice water, each word chilling to the bone: "Then you might as well not have a tongue."
He couldn’t tolerate anyone using vile words to describe Thea Shaw.
His little fairy was someone he couldn’t spoil enough, could she be described so carelessly by others?
Barry Swift shuddered.
He looked at Landon Ford in fear, not daring to speak.
The beautiful girlfriend who had been staring at Landon suddenly felt her scalp go numb, lowering her head, not daring to look at him again.
"Tsk."
Thea Shaw looked at Barry Swift, smiling. "Don’t you think you’re quite funny?"
Then, grabbing Landon Ford’s hand, she softened her voice: "Let’s go, I’m about done eating."
Landon Ford’s gaze as they left felt like it carved a gash across Barry’s heart.
Only after they walked far away, when the terrifying pressure dissipated, did Barry come back to his senses.
The hot weather left a patch of dampness on his back.
Once they were completely out of sight, Barry finally returned to his senses, muttering in indignation: "What the hell!"
Clearly, if Landon and the others were still there, he wouldn’t have dared to let that fart out.
His girlfriend also snapped out of it, regretting such a handsome face, and then she looked at Barry again. The stark contrast suddenly made her feel disgusted.
She lost even the slightest thought of sticking with Barry for his money, let out a cold laugh, shook him off, and just walked away.
Barry was instantly dumbfounded.

After they walked some distance, Landon finally asked: "Do you know that guy?"
Thea shook her head honestly. "I really don’t know him. Maybe he was a classmate, but I have no recollection."
Landon nodded, neither of them put any thought into something like this.
After walking through the night market with her, Landon dropped Thea off near her company.
But halfway through the drive, Thea suddenly had a strong sense of unease, which as the Great National Master, gave her a bad premonition.
She suddenly spoke up: "Landon, pull over, quickly!"
Upon hearing her, Landon didn’t hesitate to pull over immediately.
They happened to be at an intersection, where technically you couldn’t stop, but Landon stopped anyway.
