Chapter 35 Xu Wanru's Shock
The hot water bottle started to cool down. Lin Ran picked it up, unwrapped the towel, and refilled it with hot water. This time she filled it even fuller than before, and tightened the cap as much as possible. She wrapped the towel back around her and placed it back on her lower abdomen.
Su Peixue fell asleep.
Her breathing became longer and more even. Her brow was still slightly furrowed, but much more relaxed than before. Su Peixue turned over. Her hand slid down from the hem of his clothes and landed on the sheets. She leaned closer to him, her forehead resting against the outside of his thigh.
He's not awake.
Lin Ran looked down at her. Her lips moved slightly, as if she were talking in her sleep, but no sound came out.
He switched the palm-leaf fan to his left hand and used his right hand to pull down the towel that had slipped up, covering her exposed calves.
