Chapter 56 The Zhang Family
Chapter 56 The Zhang Family
The first academic year has come to a complete end, and students are gradually returning home.
Draco packed his things early in the morning and got on the bus at daybreak, making him one of the earliest passengers.
The train wasn't moving fast, and people were getting a little drowsy.
Draco rested Landric's head on his shoulder, his incessant chatter gradually fading away, and the others in the same compartment also noticed this.
Draco only dared to wake Rand when he saw the familiar Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
"Brother, we've arrived."
Landric opened his eyes, got up, and pulled Draco out of the car. Then, not forgetting his other Slytherin friends, he said, "Have a nice holiday, friends."
This left Zabini somewhat flattered: "This is..."
"He's in a good mood today," Theodore saw right through him.
"It's so rare to come home, who wouldn't be in a good mood?" Pansy took out a small mirror, determined to show her parents a beautiful version of herself.
As soon as Landric got out of the car, he saw his mother and godparents.
There was no way around it; their hair colors were really eye-catching, and the aura they exuded was something no one else could imitate.
Landric quickened his pace, but Draco was even faster, pulling his brother into a sprint mode.
"Mom and Dad!"
Draco spoke first, followed closely by Landric.
"Mom, Godfather, Godmother"
Tana pulled Landric into her arms and looked closely at his little face.
"Still too thin."
Rand: There's a kind of thinness that only your mom thinks you're thin.
Landric sighed and stroked Tana's hand. "No, Mom."
Meanwhile, Draco was also spending time with Narcissa.
Lucius Malfoy was left standing alone in the wind.
This scene seems familiar.
Draco rambled on about his life at the academy while glancing at Landric every now and then.
Landric's right eyelid twitched; something was very wrong, extremely wrong.
Draco casually blurted out, "Mom, do you know what? My brother is incredibly brave at our school. Dumbledore even called it mutual aid and dedication, giving Slytherin a perfect score of 100! If it weren't for him, we Slytherin would have lost the House Cup in our seventh year!"
Landric froze. Good heavens, that explains why he was so easy to fool at school; it turns out he was being tricked here.
He could even feel the raging fury burning within Tana.
Tana Rozier stood up, still holding Landric's hand.
"Honey, I think we can find a place to have a good chat about the exciting life at your college."
"Malfoy Estate is a good choice, don't you think, Tana?" Narcissa continued Tana's question.
Landric felt a throbbing pain in his temples.
Before Landric could say anything more, a sudden shift in appearance revealed a magnificent, golden decoration.
Landric was pulled to sit on the sofa, facing a three-way interrogation.
"Honey, can you tell Mommy what you did at school?"
Tana Rozier's gentle voice rang in her ears, while in front of her were the baptism of gazes from her godparents.
Landric broke out in a cold sweat, glancing at Draco who was hiding behind his godfather and godmother, and gave him a look.
You wait.
"It's nothing, I just helped protect the magic stone."
"Oh"
Before the three patriarchs could react after Landric finished speaking, Draco's sarcasm came first.
"Godmother, my brother went to the infirmary twice to help Harry—the second time, I even thought he…"
Landric felt like he was going crazy. What was wrong with this brat? Wasn't he usually very obedient?
"Landrico, you'd better explain everything!"
Well, Mom doesn't even call me "baby" anymore.
Landric frowned, puzzled, unsure where to begin.
To say he knew from the beginning that Voldemort wasn't dead? To say he knew Dumbledore's plans?
After a long silence, Tana Rozier even felt like killing Snape.
How could he, how could he just stand by and watch his child walk into the trap of that old fox Dumbledore?
Rand is still young, so it's understandable that he doesn't understand things, but what about Snape? Is he young too?
The child was already in poor health, and these two medical attempts are practically trying to kill him.
Tana stood up. "Little Dragon, tell your godmother everything!"
Draco began to explain, bit by bit.
Landric heard about skipping school, night outings, trolls, the Healing Wing, the Philosopher's Stone, the Healing Wing... and even some things Landric thought Draco didn't know.
That's true, how could someone raised by the Malfoy family be a truly naive and innocent girl?
I just want to know if I can shut him up with a magic spell.
Just as Draco was about to finish speaking, he stopped and looked at Landric.
The cup in Tana's hand turned to powder, and Narcissa and Lucius both looked at him disapprovingly.
Landric glanced at Draco, who seemed unsure how to continue, and sighed softly. "So this is the last time you've come to me?"
"Voldemort didn't die; he's possessed Quirrell!"
With a casual flick of his wrist, Landric leaned back on the sofa, calmly watching the three shocked people, like a beautiful Persian cat arrogantly lounging on the sofa.
Tana's hands were itching to touch him, wanting to both caress and slap him.
"So, my dear child, you went to confront the mysterious man by yourself?"
Landric got excited when this was mentioned.
"No, Mom, I'm very clever. I pretended to faint and secretly got out. Harry Potter was the one who faced Voldemort alone."
As for the second entry into the medical facility, it was all a self-directed act.
The three family members present secretly breathed a sigh of relief; the child was quite clever.
"And, Mom, the Philosopher's Stone is with me!"
Tana, Narcissa, Lucius: !!!
Draco: He knew it, he knew they would do it this way, I had already guessed it before!
"You mean, you took the Philosopher's Stone right under Voldemort's and Dumbledore's noses?"
Landric nodded, looking at Tana and the other two with a plea for praise.
The three of them turned their heads in unison.
"Voldemort certainly doesn't know the Philosopher's Stone is with me, but Dumbledore might not."
However, since Dumbledore didn't come looking for him, either he didn't notice, or he did notice but didn't care.
After all, the sole purpose of the Philosopher's Stone at Hogwarts was to help Harry grow.
Voldemort was not dead. Everyone present understood that Dumbledore had his own plans, but they would deal with whatever came their way.
If that day ever comes, Dumbledore would also have a way out.
The Philosopher's Stone... could very well be a test from Dumbledore.
If the child likes this, then let the child hold it.
They're not in a hurry to take sides; this may just be the beginning.
