Chapter 25 Branch 1
Chapter 25 Branch 1
"First-graders! First-graders! Come here! Come here, children!"
Amidst a sea of people, Hagrid wore a smile on his bearded face.
"Come on! Follow me, all first-year students, watch your step!"
All the freshmen followed Hagrid, and for a moment no one spoke.
Landric looked at the dark road, drew his wand, and cast a glowing spell.
Now the surrounding roads were clearly visible, and the other pure-blood families and eager young wizards also began to use their glowing abilities.
Landric listened to Hagrid say that a small boat could only carry four people, and then slowly walked onto a small boat.
Draco saw this and immediately followed closely behind, determined to stay with Landric.
What? You mean Goyle and Black? How could Draco possibly let them come on the same ship? Draco had a good idea of the weight of his two henchmen. Letting them come on the ship with him and Rand was practically suicide.
Moreover, what if someone else comes up soon and I don't act quickly?
Don't think he didn't see it; that wretched bastard has been looking for Landric all along!
After turning a corner, the path ends at a black lake, and on the opposite side of the lake stands a tall castle.
Everyone was extremely quiet along the way, and soon they arrived safely on the other side of the lake.
After the students had all disembarked, Hagrid suddenly cleaned a toad off the ship.
Upon seeing this, a student excitedly rushed over and hugged it tightly.
Hagrid led them to an oak door and knocked on it.
The knocking was loud and clear. The door opened a moment later, and the light from the burning torches poured down, illuminating a section of stone steps.
A witch with her hair tied in a black bun and wearing a long emerald green robe stood solemnly and elegantly in front of the gate.
"Professor McGonagall, a first-year student"
Hagrid's voice rang out.
"Thank you, Hagrid."
The moment Landric stepped into the school gates, he understood that a magical world awaited them, along with lurking dangers. Since this world was a novel, it was impossible for things to go smoothly.
"Welcome to Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall greeted the new students.
Professor McGonagall told the young wizards to follow her, and then she walked through the gates of Hogwarts.
The first thing you see are four long tables, filled with students of different colors. As the new students come in one by one, everyone gives them a warm welcome.
"Before you take your seats, you must first determine which house you will be assigned to: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin."
"These four houses will be your homes from now on. Now, young wizards, please come forward if you hear your name, sit on the stools, and put on the Sorting Hat. This precious Hogwarts hat will tell you which house you belong to."
A four-cornered stool appeared next to Professor McGonagall at some point, with a dusty, pointed hat on it. This must be the Sorting Hat that Professor McGonagall mentioned.
Landric looked at the Sorting Hat, pondering what it was based on for sorting the houses—memory?
Soon Landric stopped thinking about it too much, because the sorting process had already begun.
Hannah Abbott
A little girl with two braids ran up.
Hufflepuff
The Sorting Hat soon provided the answer.
One by one, the young wizards went up, until a girl with fluffy hair and a pair of big front teeth went up. Landric remembered that this seemed to be Hermione from the original story.
Suddenly, a sentence inexplicably popped into Landric's mind: The Minister of Magic and her two flaws...
He pressed a smirk to himself, then suddenly felt a piercing gaze fall upon him…
