Chapter 979: Robyn-1*

It was not after dinner that Willa and others returned. Samuel wasn’t there to greet them, they were taken straight to their quarters where others were waiting for them. Polina and Irina were angry but seeing that their friend wasn’t hurt, their fury calmed down a little.

They still blamed Willa for being so impulsive despite their repeated warnings. It was the same for others, they were too hasty to leave the protection of Samuel to think that others would treat them the same.

Maria and her group already went to bed and they thought it wasn’t their place to say anything to the returnees. It was the same for other two girls who decided to stay, they hardly talked with anyone even Nicole found it hard to get through with them.

They seemed to be just going through the motion not knowing what they would do in the future but Samuel thought with the intervention of some medical personal, maybe they would open up a little.

" So how was home? Did you parents came to greet you like you expected?" Irina said with a sneer. They obviously talked about each other’s history which was why both Polina and she was baffled why the little troublemaker couldn’t accept that her family abandoned her long time ago!

" I...I-" Willa didn’t have the heart to tell them what truly happened. She lost that spunk, the spark that she always exuded even in dire situations. For some reason, she began to lose hope for the first time in her life. The mess they were in was more troubling than she anticipated after seeing how those police officers acted earlier.

She didn’t understand french but some of the girl who was with her did, they told her where they were being taken too. If the people behind the incident was successful, god only knows what would happen to them. For the first time, she felt grateful for being rescued but she didn’t thank that sleezy handsome man, after all it was that weird ninja that saved them!

She slaved away doing various job but ever since she remembered, she always had a fondness for singing. It was by chance that one of the agent discovered her talent while she was performing in a bar, she would dress up so as to not appear a minor. The boss didn’t mind as long as she was bringing in money.

She thought she finally made it but life had many more surprises for her. The company was ultimately turned out to be one that exploited their talent, she had to go through several more grueling years only finding solace that her family had some money because of her job but when she turned eighteen, she fought tooth and nail to null the insane contract that she signed when she was just fourteen!

That was five years ago, after that she worked from bottom making a name for herself again. It also helped that she grew up to shed most of her baby weight looking better than ever. Still, moving around in music circles, she never found anyone decent as most of her relationships were toxic to the point that she never really experienced true love.

Even now, the label had a strong hold on her career which she wasn’t happy about.

People would told her that she was too headstrong making others feel uncomfortable about her demeanor but that was just her not holding anything back. Was it wrong to wear your heart on your sleeve? If so that she didn’t want to change. Even recently, her two year long relationship ended because her boyfriend started to become controlling and violent.

It’s not that she liked the drama but even so she seemed drawn to that lifestyle as that was the only things that she was familiar with.

Which was why Anastasiya’s proposal was a god sent for her. Samuel had always been a gentleman since they met and after learning more about him, she could at least give him a chance despite him not being the type that she typically chose.
