Chapter 951 Aftermath-3
Chapter 951 Aftermath-3
Anastasiya rushed to the location breaking many red lights along the way but she didn't care about such minor inconveniences. Right before she reached the secluded road which would take her straight to the location, she spotted what seemed like several military grade jeeps. She slowed down and carefully observed them, the windows were heavily tinted which was quite illegal.
There was no restriction on tinting but not all windows could be tinted.
She knew immediately these men should be the one that his contact told her about. She clearly remembered the description of the convoy, there should be a large military bus but it seemed to be missing. They also seem to be in a hurry.
She felt dread crept up in her heart before she heavily put the foot on the pedal rushing through messy roads. She just hoped that he was okay. While driving, she lifted up her passenger seat to reveal a small box which held some unmarked handguns.
Bratva trained her to be proficient with most of the weapons but even then, she wouldn't be able to take on dozen anticipated enemies if she was right. Still, she wanted to try. She smashed through the wooden gate and parked her car alongside the bush line. She could see the parked vehicle but there didn't seem to any movements inside of it.
Nonetheless, she got out and put on the holster while gathering several magazines just in case. Kicking off her high heels, she was now moving barefoot in this way she could at least retreat or advance without falling.
" Please be safe!" She prayed before moving through the woods to see if anyone around but all she was met with was heavy silence. She squatted down trying to adjust to low light and it didn't take long for her to find the entrance. The running bus was illuminating the place enough for her to avoid any sneak attacks.
After confirming there was no movement and seeing the door was open she decided to head inside and take the risk. She believed he must be critically injured and since there was still a vehicle outside, they must be ready to move him or worse they could be torturing him for information. A man like him must have many secrets, it gave her some hope that he was still live.
She almost groaned in pain when her bare feet hit the gravel road but she was determined to save him. Without making a sound, she reached the entrance before perking up her ear to listen for any signs of distress. She could tell this warehouse was huge so they might not be in the bottom floor.
" I am fine thanks for asking. Did Lucie and Raphael sent you? I didn't tell anyone else."
Anastasiya lowered her guard when she saw his face. He still had time to mix humour with his comments which meant he wasn't injured badly. She told him how she found out and also what others told her.
" Good, I was just wondering whether I should show my face to them or not. I mean, they were very scared to see some of the things I done to others. Now that you are here, you can act as a liason which would hide my identity." He said with a chuckle but Anastasiya could feel the dryness in his voice.
He just admitted to doing somethings that he wouldn't be proud off but he was keeping it together. Still, she didn't want to see him suffer. She decided to confide in Nicole to see what they could do about it. If she said anything right now, she knew he would just deflect her worries.
" Alright, did you capture them or are they your spoils of war?" Anastasiya decided to tease him a little.
" Nothing like that. They are just victims so I decided to help them a little in their recovery. What happens after that is fully depends on them." Samuel shook his head.
" What about the enemies? Are you sure we are safe?" Anastasiya asked.
" Yes, I am sure. I have a lot more leverage, they wouldn't dare cross me again." He said in a serious tone. Samuel briefly told her about these victims, Anastasiya wasn't surprised by the events. From where she was from, these things were a common occurrence.
But the amount of deceit involved was astounding, coupled with the fact they were doing it right under the noses of local authorities supported her assumption that Richard was protected from the top.
