Chapter 907: Annual Party-3
"Delphina, We are going to fight it out right?but where is your so-called strong backup now?" a director asked quietly behind Delphina. They were getting impatient after getting sneaky glares from other guests.
"Don’t worry, believe me, Fulham, I won’t make a joke about this kind of thing. He would be here soon. He had always been one to make explosive entrance." Delphina’s face was elegant and calm as he had already given her, his firm confidence.
"Okay, I hope so, Delph, you know, we really don’t want to see that kid Alan on stage, in comparison, he is a scumbag." He whispered showing his open contempt for the young prince.
At that time,Bernard Arnault entered the center stage, just like a king, walking into his own territory. He was like a calm hawk watching each guest and nodding everytime he saw someone important.
In an instant, the small group of Delphi, which was originally full of morale, became a little unbearable, especially when he directed his gaze towards his daughter. Her companions were nervous but Delphina looked back at him with some defiance in her eyes. She might not be able to do it previously but now that she was sure of her victory, why would she hide her smigness?
Except for Delphi’s pride and insistence on looking back, the other directors more or less looked away, unwilling to look back at Bernard Arnault.

Everyone knew the old man had controlled the LVHM group for nearly 25 years. During these 25 years, Bernard Arnault had brought the LVHM group out of the trough and made it dazzling enough for other’s jealousy.
Therefore, in addition to splitting the directors on the issue of heirs, In other matters, Bernard Arnault’s decision will basically be affirmed by the directors.
It’s just that the directors who support Delphine really don’t understand why this wise decision maker made such a serious mistake on the issue of heirs.
However, his prestige in the LVHM group made him want to go his own way, which aroused the dissatisfaction of these directors who support Delpina.
Bernard exchanged greetings with the surrounding giants, wealthy and aristocrats, while aiming at his daughter from the corner of his eye. Contrary to popular belief that he didn’t care about her daughter, he very much paid attention to her. It was just different. He wanted her to have a strong backbone just like him in the face of adversity.
Which was why there was a sense of satisfaction and appreciation in his eyes, but he kept it hidden so that it was not discovered.
For this event, the highest-ranking guest was Grand Duke of Kent. He was currently whispering something with Bernard. Everyone knew that these two were long time close friends.
The Duke was also a major shareholder of the LVHM Group, holding 10% of the group’s shares. He was one of the biggest ally and strong supporter of Alan only because his old friend trusted his son. In truth, he had never been a fan of Alan which made him pessimistic about the company’s future.
"Old friend, do you really want do this? Traditional values erode over time, you have to think more practically." Kent said hesitantly. Handing family business over to son might be okay im the past but now he had such a strong candidate like Delphina. It made more sense to leave her the heir’s position. Beside it was business not royal family matters where there were archaic rules in place.
"Yes, I decided." Bernard expression was unusually firm.
"But, Isn’t it too cruel for the little princess? I have known her for years, she would rather detach herself completely than to live on Alan’s crumbs. We both know they don’t get along."
"No, on the contrary, I am protecting him. The most suitable thing for him is a prosperous life and a better outlook on life. He would soon realise the burden of the job which would make him grow up." he didn’t say much, his eyes showed a glimmer something that was unintelligible.
The Grand Duke of Kent smiled bitterly. He, a dear friend, really didn’t understand why his friend was so stubborn on this issue.
It might work or not work but it would change the lives of his two offspring. If he himself was present with such a situation, he would have went with a simpler route of dividing the company equally giving them a fair chance.
The group might suffer for few years but with their strong connection it could create two new giants in fashion industry, atleast it would give them fifty percent chance to succeed.
