" It's an honour to have you in our presence your majesty!" Samuel immediately bowed down seeing the person. On the other hand, Kate's mind went blank for a second before she followed his lead and waited for a time to say something.

" You rascal. It's been years since you last came to see me. Stop being so dramatic about it." The Queen stood up angrily glaring at him.

Him having the freaking Queen as his maternal grandmother was a blessing but he never came to see her or even ask for any help. She hosted his coming of age celebration after which they only met a couple of times over the years mostly in passing in other extravagant parties.

It also didn't help seeing his face all across the city, he was after all a famous actor coupled with the fact that Margaret never failed to praise his accomplishment like a snob, she was quite frustrated with her own children and grandchildren for never measuring up to his level!

" I am sorry your majesty. I didn't know you will be-"

" I said cut it out! We are all family here, you can call me like you always do." She smacked his broad shoulder which didn't even make him flinch.

" I didn't know you will be attending the party, grandmother." He stood up and gave her a gentle smile. She was just like he remembered. Unlike other Royal member, he felt at ease when talking to her.

" Why? Can't I go when you send an invitation to the Palace?"

" I didn't mean it like-"

" I know what you mean brat! I don't need to repeat myself." She kept cutting him off. He was among the few that didn't falter when facing her since he was little. She always felt there was something about him that made him special.

Robert and other male members were a little embarrassed seeing her majesty's brain malfunction. She thought she misheard but seeing the calm smile on other's faces made her realize they were not joking about it.

" Darling.." Robert grabbed Laura's hand signalling not to embarrass their son.

" What? She is right. I am sure it must be hard for you." Mary popped up like she always and exclaimed loudly.

Queen was here? She didn't give a damn. She hated such formal parties but seeing Samuel bring someone new and her being cowering in fear and nervousness activated her motherly instinct. Kate who saw her walking toward them thought she was talking to Samuel.

He didn't gave her a general idea about how big his family was. There was also a short session about important figures names and their general personalities. Among them, she found his granduncle, Donald and his grandaunt Patricia most exciting.

They were almost never mentioned whenever someone talked about Rothschild family but when Samuel mentioned them she could see a light in his eyes like he was talking about his idols.

He found out that Donald was a huge inspiration when he first picked up writing. After which he mentioned them having two children. Peter, his uncle, he didn't have any nice things to say about him.
