Chapter 1142 Returning to the hideout-2

Right after Samuel left, Kate nudged Bella and said," You don't have to pretend anymore. He is gone." There was a hint of mischief in her voice when she said it.

" Umm..what? What are you talking about?" Bella tried to act like she just woke up looking at Kate with hostile gaze. She knew what her friend was trying to do.

" Come on. After everything, are you still too shy to face him? Just accept it already that we will all be together for life!" Kate said cheerfully hugging Bella. They were both naked so it made things more awkward but Bella had lost count of what sort of things they did last night.

Half the time, she didn't even remember who she was kissing or embracing. It was all her way of protecting herself from Kate, the friend who was trying to drag her down with her!

" Dream on! I was emotional last night and might have said few things so don't say it like it's set in stone. Beside, I will agree to your terms if you come clean in front of my family and also told them everything, I really want to see how they would beat you up!" Bella threatened.

Kate remembered Bella's family which made her stiff. There was no way in hell she was ever going to break such news to Bella's family, it was practically a death sentence for both of them!

" Okay, Okay, do what you want but don't come crying to me when he starts avoiding you. He was pretty serious about it. I can see it in his eyes if you have said things differently, we might not be in the same bed." Kate said it casually but she knew she was right.

There was lot at stake last night and even she could have never expected aloof Bella to catch feelings for someone that she was ready to go against her highly strict family.

They mostly hailed from Spain but there were some other ethnicity involved with them over the years but the spanish blood was still strong making the whole family a well cohesive unit.

Any parent would want what's best for their children but even for them accepting such a situation seemed impossible at least that's what's both thought. For now, they decided to ignore the matter.

They would take care of it after getting exposed which was slim as they lived in the countryside, mostly composed of the ex-pats far away from the city.

As expected, as soon as the warm current entered Clark body, his breathing became much more stable, even his pale complexion became rosy. It was always amazing to see how magical his powers were when it came to healing others.

After two minutes, Samuel heard a groan and knew his captive was awake.

" Good morning, how was your sleep last night." Samuel greeted him with a pleasant voice like he was some cleaning lady coming in the morning to elevate customer satisfaction so that she could get some tips!

" You...motherfucker-" Clark paused mid sentence feeling changes in his body.

Only he knew how he survived last night. At first he thought his people would be able to find him. As far as he knew, there was not a single person watching the rusty door.

He would have heard something as he was up almost all night due to freezing cold. The heat died down after an hour after Samuel left but what's crazy was the arriving cold was much more worse.

He wasn't exactly wearing any 'warm' clothes. Just enough to keep him at the brink of hypothermia.

But he persisted waiting for the eventual rescue but it never came. Samuel didn't tell Clark much about where this place was, if he had known Clark would definitely shout and proclaim him a monster for thinking of such a weird place to hold him.

What he ate last night was also mostly light food but a lot of alcohol, maybe that was the reason why he survived such freezing cold.

As someone who was pampered since birth, he had never experienced such a thing but his ego wouldn't let him admit that he could ever lose or show weakness toward someone so coward that he was hiding his face.

But no matter how 'tough' he was, he didn't have the willpower to endure such cold for prolonged period of time which made him eventually pass out but he kept cursing the masked man even when he knew he was all alone in the damp, cold room.

Samuel who was looking at him could see the immense hatred in his eyes which made him amused. He disclosed some part of his plan to Clark but it was time for Samuel to give the other party a deathly blow!
