Chapter 1127 Infiltration-1

What they wanted to achieve was simple. There were somethings that they wouldn't be able to find out through hacking.

With the advert of technology, most of the smart Elites understood what would happen if their dirty laundry got exposed.

Even with all their connections and power there was nothing like facing a onslaught of public that were affected by them and them finding out about it in this way which made them feel like they were betrayed at the highest level.

It wasn't just limited to finance, many powerful people would collect 'material' on others in case their identity is threatened.

There were no enemies or friends at such a high level. They could flip sides if it meant for them to gain more ground or power that's just how the world worked.

Normal people might have gotten complacent but these people who had a lot to lose knew it was a classic case of 'survival of the fittest'. Their only way to survive was to loop in as many different parties as possible making themselves too big so that even the governing body would think twice before acting against them.

There were entities that were too big to fail, most of them were hidden in the dark. Greens were definitely a tier below but they could topple many people while they go down.

Samuel wanted to be mindful and discreet so that these forces wouldn't blame him for them taking loses. He had found many discrepancy in the corporate structure but he wanted more evidence for him to force the people in power to take action.

Now that they were approaching busy section of the city, his driving was a lot more smoother so as to not arise any suspicion. The whole surveillance field would be scrounged after their mission.

Fortunately, the busy section only last for few minutes before they got off the main road to take a narrow street which went parallel to many of the wealthy people's home.

Those who didn't know how this city works would never guess that there were many places like Beverly Hills at the outskirts of the city.

But since, Samuel had said his presence would not affect the outcome of the mission, it was only right for them to leave him alone and let him enjoy the company of his family.

After few minutes, Arthur jumped out of the vehicle with his gear. The old man was still agile as a cheetah that Steve didn't even had to slow down the van for him.

Steve took one more stop where he dropped Cho and Drake together. Jane was adamant on going with him as he was one responsible for getting to the digital files.

They might not find anything substantial as this was just a residence but they had to start from somewhere. It was also dangerous for Jane because she would be alone and if Steve presence was discovered they would surely search their immediate vicinity and they could easily find her.

She might be tough but in the black van, she was a sitting duck waiting to be slaughtered! Despite Steve's disagreement, she stood firm to follow him to which he could reluctantly agree.

The newly married couple also geared up after he skillfully covered the van to camouflage it to the background. With little moonlight, their jet black figure were like ghosts descending into the mortal realm.

" Are you ready to do this?" Steve asked.

" Are you still worried about me? I know how to hide so just come back safely." She rolled her eyes thinking Steve should worry about himself instead of her who would be here doing recon.

" I know but you have to promise after this we will have that 'talk'. "

" What talk?"

" You know what I mean. You have been putting it off for years. I don't think I can wait any-" Jane shut his mouth by a well timed punch. She couldn't believe he was going on about such things during the mission!

Later, she was even more embarrassed when she found out everyone heard their little talk through the common bandwidth! Steve was kicked out of the van but he was grinning toward the whole way. Nothing beats teasing his wife especially when she tries to act all serious around him.
