Chapter 1116 Grounded?-3

" Young master, I didn't know that you were coming back?" Amanda exclaimed as soon as they entered the room.

She still treated him like kid, hugging and kissing his face while ruffling his hair. It was awkward because now he was almost two head taller then her so he had to lean in for her to do these sort of embarrassing things.

" Can you stop this? I told you countless times that I am not a kid anymore." He retorted.

" You will always be a little kid in my eyes. Don't you remember how I used to bath you every night-"

" Stop, stop! I don't want to hear it." He cut her off. She was among the few people that he couldn't do anything about after all she along with Nicole and his family knew almost all his 'dark' childhood history which wasn't bad but with his greater then life prestige it would lead others to believe that he was a 'mortal' just like them.

It wouldn't be a bad thing but nonetheless it keeps many problems away.

" How is Nicole doing?" Amanda asked dropping her joking demeanor.

" I thought she already told you about everything but I met her just before leaving and she seemed very determined to make a difference so I let her do it." He shrugged. Nicole did ask him to not say anything dangerous but he wasn't the type of person that could lie to Amanda because she would know in a instant!

" She was very secretive but I did find some things when I talked with Jane the other day. The more I hear about it, the more outrageous the story gets but.." She really wanted to blame him but she knew he wasn't the type of person that would be careless with Nicole's safety.

Did they think she was stupid? Nicole had made her intentions known to her but she never said anything explicit. It was just after few days of them confirming their feelings that she caught them after that she started to be more careful around the house which made them even more complacent.

Sometimes, she thinks they would intentionally rub it on her face because she never really had someone like that in her life but now that she was about to retire, she wanted to find someone that she could spend her life together.

After all, she was less than forty and was in great shape. It's just she wanted to find someone who didn't know about her connection to the family. Even after the retirement, she thought about their safety as associating in known circles could result in some trouble.

Samuel didn't know what was going inside her mind. He just wanted to crawl in a hole and bury himself to escape from the embarrassment thinking about all the times when she would have noticed their shenanigans. After all both him and Nicole were wild when they first got together like two exploding stars trying to 'devour' each other!

" Right, I also recieved a call to inform if you arrive should I do it or you want to continue hiding?" She asked. As the only maid in his residence, she was given a directive to contact Daniel immediately but before the family, her loyalty laid with Samuel.

" Don't say anything. They didn't see me come in and would probably move on so just pretend that I am not here." He added. He knew he could trust Amanda.

" Okay. Should I cook something? Are you hungry?"

" I am starving."

" Alright then." She went about her way finally leaving him which made him take a sigh of relief. It seemed like he had to contact his team first to put his plan in motion or else it would be too late.

He wanted to wait a day but he knew he would be discovered so tonight would be the perfect backdrop for him to exact his revenge on the Greens on behalf of his beloved Kate!
