" You don't have to worry about me. How about your end? Is the matter resolved?" Nicole chnaged the subject decisively. She was embarrassed to be caught ' lazing' off by the other party.

Lucie was amused to see Nicole put up a strong front in such a situation. Who didn't know that she was working tirelessly ever since Samuel left?

She admired the little maid, thinking she was able to stabilize the situation without much prior experience. They both knew her background, so most of it was because Nicole was competent.

" It's nothing. The matter is just about throwing more money at them, boss already told me not to worry about capital so I decided to go the quick route." Lucie downplayed the situation.

It took her to overtly threaten the other party not to jump around excessively. With Samuel investing so much, there were many people vying to get the piece of the pie.

Even if their superior green lit the whole project, they could still make some small moves trying to squeeze more money out of Samuel thinking that he was just a fat sheep.

Many of them were aware of the horror of his background especially these local authorities. Now that Lucie had reminded them again not to delay work and always do their best at the job, they were obedient like a little puppy!

Who told them to reach for the sky using such dubious methods? When their higher up learned about it they were so angry that they laughed. What followed was monumental scolding that they wouldn't forget for years!

" Well, why are you here then?"

" Why can't I be here? Where else would I find good food and good environment to relax after such a tiring job?"

" Shouldn't you go home? I believed you said you have a boyfriend, right?" Nicole asked casually trying to appear as ambiguous as possible.

Lucie didn't think much of it. She knew her boyfriend always been a mysterious existence in front of everyone. Whenever she was drunk she had a tendency to boast about him but she never given others any details only commenting on his appearance and his attitude.

No one had seen him which made everyone believe that she was just pretending including Nicole!

" It's about the compound's electricity consumption. There had been some abnormalities. They said it wouldn't be possible because the system is highest that the provider could provide. Even if we use high intensity appliance it wouldn't be able to burn through so much energy so quickly." Lucie sighed.

" You know what happened with the Rockefeller family did leave a huge shadow in these people's heart. They also had many abnormalities but for some reason, the broken warehouse was able to get a commercial licence and also shut up people with money. Now, the government and the intelligence agency are following such behaviour which could crack several more cases throughout the country. They could bring down more such people which was why they are alert by our behaviour." She told her all the points.

Lucie knew the other party was still very accommodating to them because they didn't initiate any investigation. If it were someone else they might have already got raided by now.

Nicole heard the compliants and was dumbfounded. She knew why it happened, she kept receiving various equipments atleast three times a day.

It were some intricate machines that she never heard of, she only of servers some high end tech that casted tens of millions. Lihn and others didn't treat these things as much, Samuel hadn't limit their consumption making it easier for them to do whatever they wanted.

Many such machines weren't available for public which meant the team had to use some back channels and pay exorbitant prices but it didn't matter to them. They were fully focused on research and studying his notes.

These things required a lot of manpower, they needed to constantly adjust and test new programs and come up with solutions to emerging problems but it meant these things were running constantly consuming more and more energy.

Nicole didn't know such a problem would occue but she really couldn't think of a solution. She had task to hide Linh and other's existence.

If they really applied for new lisence, it would definitely alert several parties. Most of them were aware that such situations was definitely caused by these groups after all it was same when they were at the warehouse.

" What do you think we should do?" She turned and asked Lucie.

" Are you stumped? Can you first tell me what is going on?" Lucie asked.

Nicole didn't hide anything and told her everything. Lucie wasn't here most of the time so she didn't know what these people were uo to, still it made her speechless. Weren't these people just spending her boss money like water? Didn't he tell them to lay low?

" Don't worry. I have a plan. If the town wouldn't provide us energy we can look for other places. I will first try to talk to them and make some excuses." Lucie knew what she needed to do but it would take atleast a week.

Just like that both of them got busy again, they never thought about reporting it back to their boss. Both had same ideas, if they couldn't even solve such a small problem, they were not worthy of his trust!
