Chapter 1053 Where is everyone?

They were only lovey dovey for about ten minutes leaving others waiting for them outside but when they got out of the room, everyone was looking at them strangely. Katarina and Helga blushed a little but Samuel waved them off. Genevieve could only sigh before saying goodbye to her friends.

Both of them got off the plane, leaving Katarina and Helga behind. He was thankful that they weren't crying and only sniffing while waving their hands from the gate. With that the gate closed and he lost sight of them watching the plane head toward the runway.

Genevieve and Samuel watch their plane take off and disappear into the cloud before heading out of the airport.

They didn't talk much, even Samuel was feeling a little down more than when he had to say goodbye to Miranda and Robyn few days ago.

He dropped her off close to home, they only made small talk without any substance. Genevieve always seemed to be on guard against him but he couldn't do anything about it. He didn't know what was her problem either way, he couldn't do anything about it so he chose to ignore her cold demeanor.

She also blocked him from going in saying hello to her mother and the staff whom he got familiar yesterday during his shift. He never really got to say them about his departure, neither did he receive his paycheck for the day! Should he file a report with labour union?@@@@

In the end, he left dejected after losing his paycheck and heading back home to see if his grandmother had arrived or not. It was already nine thirty so everyone should have woken up by now. He didn't know what were their plans for today, but he wanted to spend some time with Kayla and Mayra before he leaves tomorrow.

He didn't knock, just entered the place after entering the electronic password. It was loud enough for the people inside to know that someone was entering the flat. As expected, Kayla and Mayra were waiting for him inside.

But what puzzled him was that they were smiling from ear to ear like they knew that he was going to find them here. He looked behind them to either see Elise or Kayla's grandmother but the third person didn't reveal themselves.

" What's wrong? What are you guys doing here? I have been looking for you." He asked.

" Of course we were waiting for you." Kayla said with a wide grin on her face.

" Right, we know you can find us." Mayra added.

" What's happening? Why are you talking like that?" The alarm bells were going inside his head knowing that something was definitely wrong with this scene. Kayla was awfully polite with a gentle smile on her face which was completely different from her usual persona while Mayra....she was same but with much more fervor in her voice!

" Why don't you follow us? We have a surprise for you." They both said it at the same time like they rehearsed it before. He was curious about it so he only nodded trudging behind them.

He knew there was another person in the flat, it could be a stranger or...his mind reeled with possibilities. Maybe they were held hostage and were forced to lure him into a trap? But from his powers he could tell that the stranger didn't have any ill intention toward him. He didn't know what he would find inside with some trepidation, he entered the room only to be shocked to see the scene inside!
