Chapter 1929 - 1902: The Black-Clad Man’s Terror
Chapter 1929 - 1902: The Black-Clad Man’s Terror
"Sssh!" "Sssh!" "Sssh!"
A streak of light, resembling a falling star, flashed like a crescent moon through the crowd, carrying an aura of death. With each pass, it claimed a life. Whether at the Early-stage Mythical or the Middle-stage Mythical level, these seemingly invincible masters were as vulnerable as ants in the hands of the suddenly appearing black-robed man, easily crushed with a single hand.
The chilling screams echoed continuously in the square, instilling a sense of bone-chilling cold. The thick, metallic scent of blood permeated the air, making the square appear even more eerie and sinister under the floodlights, enough to shatter the nerves of anyone who glimpsed the scene.
Facing such a Killing God, everyone felt fear, but not a single person dared to flee. They could only charge towards the black-robed man one after another, hoping to fight to the death, as any attempt to escape would result in being shredded into pieces by sword light, leaving no corpse behind. A desperate fight was the only chance.
But, as proven, any resistance was futile, a mere paper tiger in the face of absolute power.
When the crescent-moon-like sword light disappeared back into the sleeve of the black-robed man, there were no living people visible in the square. No, to be precise, only Old Jack stood dumbfounded in the midst of the bloody carnage, surrounded by bodies lying in disorder, each with a fatal throat wound, blood flowing and pooling in the square like a hell on earth under the lights, appearing terrifyingly gruesome. The faint-hearted would surely be petrified at the sight.
The black-robed man stepped forward, striding across the air as if walking on solid ground towards Old Jack, who stared at him with a look of horror, as if he had seen a ghost.
"Do you know why I didn’t kill you?" The black-robed man slowly approached Old Jack and asked.
Old Jack’s body trembled uncontrollably like a sieve, the muscles around his eyes and mouth twitching involuntarily, revealing the depth of his internal terror.
This suddenly appearing black-robed man was terrifying to the extreme. He hadn’t even seen how the opponent made a move, only a crescent-moon-like sword light shot out from the sleeve, and then everyone around him was dead, leaving him as the sole survivor.
At this moment, in Old Jack’s eyes, the black-robed man was a demon, a demon emerging from Hell.
"Who...who exactly are you?"
Old Jack took a deep breath, striving to quell the fear within, but his trembling voice betrayed him.
"You do not need to know who I am."
The black-robed man spoke slowly, "Since you don’t want to know why I spared you, let me give you another choice. End your own life, and I’ll leave your body intact."
"You..."
"What, you don’t want to?"
"Don’t be too arrogant. I killed someone from the Lex Family of Eagle Country, one of the top families. If you dare to kill me, the Lex Family won’t let you go."
"I look forward to it."
With that, the black-robed man slowly raised his hand, his fingers spread, and he remotely seized Old Jack, clasping his neck tightly, snapping it with a slight effort before Old Jack could respond.
Glancing at Old Jack’s lifeless eyes, the black-robed man sighed softly, "From now on, I’m afraid there will be no more Lex Family in this world."
After speaking, the black-robed man tossed Old Jack’s corpse aside as though it were garbage, scanning the surroundings quickly. Without further words, he vanished from sight, leaving behind a field of bodies and an overwhelming stench of blood.
Meanwhile, Lu Tianxing’s figure darted through the darkness, catching up with Angel and the others in no time.
Hearing the sound from behind, Angel turned her head and upon seeing Lu Tianxing in sight, a look of intense joy washed over her face, "My dear, you’ve come."
"Boss."
A trace of excitement flashed across the faces of the Starving Ghost and the others, unable to suppress their feelings. They hadn’t expected Lu Tianxing to break through so quickly.
"This isn’t the time to catch up. We need to move," Lu Tianxing said swiftly after glancing at Angel and the others.
Although he had left a trail of True Qi on Shiva, he was well aware of Shiva’s power. Even though he could now contend with the Late Stage of Mythical, and perhaps even kill, Shiva was a top expert of the Brahman, with unmatched purity in his True Qi. While the True Qi left inside Shiva might momentarily delay him, it would not hold him back for long.
Soon, Shiva would likely catch up, and they had to make haste to leave within this time frame.
"Judge, where do you think you’re running? Why don’t you come visit the American Superman Team with me?"
Just then, a voice full of arrogance came from a short distance away, a suffocating aura blanketing the air, giving a feeling of breathlessness.
"This is bad, let’s go!"
Upon hearing this, everyone’s complexion shifted uncontrollably, and Lu Tianxing roared, showing no hesitation. Everyone fiercely channeled their internal True Qi, darting through the high-rises at breakneck speed, without any intention of stopping.
In the American Superman Team, the only person who dared say such things was Nelson. With their current strength, standing against Nelson was impossible—even combining their forces would barely be able to withstand him.
"Judge, cease your futile struggle. Do you think you can escape?"
Nelson’s voice echoed starkly in the night, unusually harsh, "Judge, I can give you an opportunity. As long as you surrender the Four Symbols Ring and end your life here, I promise your brothers can return to China alive. Otherwise, despite Angel’s protection, you’ll find it hard to escape death tonight."
Lu Tianxing, as though he hadn’t heard Nelson’s words, continued fleeing forward with the Starving Ghost and the others, without any pause.
Not running meant death, and as for Nelson’s promises, they were too cheap to draw any interest. Staying behind would mean life and death would be in his hands; only a fool would make that choice.
